Initial Training Course

Each attempt involves 4 targets with 5 shots per target at 50 feet. The grouping of the shots measured by caliper overlays determines the total score for each target. So even if the shooter is off the bullseye, well grouped shots will produce high scores. When the shooter obtains 10 targets at different shooting positions with the required passing score for the level, the shooter then receives a certificate and can move on to the next level.

Number of Targets at each Position
Level  Score  Standing  Kneeling  Sitting  Prone
 I  25/50  10
 II  30/50  5  5
 III  35/50  4  3  3
 IV  40/50  3  3  3  1
